Soleri’s dam arcologies integrate urban functionality + resonate with the rhythm of the surrounding nature, sometimes referred by Soleri as “Cosmic Potentials”
"The essential elements for metropolitan life are intrinsically already part o the dam. In fact, the dam extends itself to the city with its own energy carriers, the power lines; with the water it impels, contains, and measures to farms, industries and homes; with its roads, lakes, and campsites; with the magnesium of its size and its defiance. ...
